Up for your consideration is a rare antique ARAKS Egyptian Cigarettes advertising tin, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1910–1930. Produced for Araks Tchamkerten & Co., one of the most renowned Armenian-owned manufacturers of luxury Egyptian cigarettes, based in Antwerp, Belgium.

The rectangular tin features beautiful original multicolor lithography. The lid is decorated with a charming Orientalist desert scene depicting a rider on a camel against the backdrop of the pyramids and an oasis, together with the inscription "Grande Manufacture de Cigarettes Égyptiennes – ARAKS – Tchamkerten et Co." The sides retain the original decorative "Araks Cigarettes" lettering with elegant Art Nouveau-inspired ornamentation.

During the first half of the 20th century, Araks was regarded as one of Europe's finest luxury cigarette brands. The company, founded by the Armenian Tchamkerten family, became internationally known for producing premium Egyptian cigarettes exported throughout Europe, making their advertising tins highly collectible today.

The tin remains in good original antique condition, displaying authentic age-related wear, paint loss, scratches, and a beautiful untouched patina consistent with over a century of use. The graphics remain attractive and well preserved, making it an excellent display piece for collectors of tobacciana, advertising memorabilia, and antique lithographed tins.
