Steiff Teddy Bear 1951 Caramel 50, reference 408427, released in 1996 as a limited edition of 5,000 pieces.

This example is numbered 01221 / 5000 and comes with its original box and certificate. The bear measures 50 cm and is made in caramel mohair, with traditional excelsior filling and a working growler. He retains his Steiff button, white ear tag, chest tag and original pale blue ribbon.

The bear appears never to have been removed from the box and is still fixed in place with the original cable ties.

Condition

Excellent unused condition overall. The bear appears never to have been removed from the box and remains secured with its original cable ties. The mohair is clean and attractive, and the felt paw pads and stitched features are in very good order. The Steiff button, ear tag, chest tag and certificate are present. The growler is working.

The original box is present and shows light age-related storage wear, minor marks and rubbing consistent with age.
