Hello dear customers,
Up for your consideration is a rare antique Austrian Tyrolean Charivari pendant / pocket watch chain fob, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. This traditional Alpine hunting accessory is crafted from a matched pair of genuine deer dewclaws, mounted in an elegant 925 sterling silver frame decorated with finely cast oak leaves and an oak branch, symbols of strength and the hunting tradition.
The silver mount is hallmarked 925 on the central branch and was recently inspected by a professional jeweller to confirm its sterling silver purity and authenticity.
Charivari ornaments such as this were traditionally worn on hunting watch chains or attached to lederhosen, making them highly collectible examples of Austrian and Bavarian folk craftsmanship.
The piece was acquired at an estate sale in Vienna and remains in excellent antique condition, with a beautiful natural patina and well-preserved silver mount. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the item description.
