Important Notes
This product cannot be programmed! (It has already been programmed. Reprogramming will cause the loss of the original program data, resulting in the vehicle not being recognized after installation)
- Do not pull the emergency unlocking cable at any time unless the handbrake module is damaged and cannot be removed. After hearing a "click" sound, the handbrake control unit can no longer be used.
- If some fault codes cannot be cleared, drive the vehicle for about 5 to 10 kilometers, turn off the engine and try again. Some fault codes will be automatically deleted.
Handbrake Installation Steps
- Check the wear level of the handbrake pad. If it is severely worn, please replace the handbrake pad first (Note: handbrake pad, not foot brake pad).
- Install the handbrake cable and adjust the gap between the handbrake and brake drum to be as small as possible.
- Connect the control unit plug, turn on the ignition switch, and check whether the electronic handbrake module works normally (Step 2 and Step 3 must not be reversed).
- If the electronic handbrake module works properly, install the emergency unlocking cable at last.
