Up for your consideration is an authentic World War II German Army leather caross-strap harness (Koppeltraggestell), dating to the 1939–1945 period. An original piece of Wehrmacht field equipment, designed to support the soldier's equipment belt, backpack, ammunition pouches, and other field gear by distributing the weight across the shoulders.
Crafted from thick brown vegetable-tanned claf leather and fitted with solid brass pebbled pattern hardware, the harness retains a beautiful untouched aged patina developed over decades of use. The leather remains strong and supple, with all buckles, keepers, and adjustment straps present and fully functional. The belt is marked embossed on the inside ''Schwarzenberger & Co Nurnberg 1941''
Condition is very good for its age, showing honest field wear and natural aging consistent with wartime service. There are no broken straps or modern repairs the leather is still sfot. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the item description.
