Up for sale is an authentic antique Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) pewter photo picture frame, made by the WMF workshop, Germany, circa 1902–1909, and attributed to the designer Albin Müller, known for his refined flowing organic motifs.

This beautiful frame is crafted in WMF pewter (Britannia metal) and features a richly decorated floral and fruit relief design with elegant flowing lines typical of the German Jugendstil movement. The sculptural top with stylized floral ornament and the symmetrical architectural side columns create a striking and decorative composition characteristic of early 20th-century WMF metalwork.

The frame retains its original metal backplate and easel stand, both typical for WMF construction of the period. The front displays a warm soft brass-toned patina, highlighting the depth of the relief decoration and the graceful Art Nouveau styling.

The frame currently holds a period romantic photographic print, which complements the historic character of the piece.

Condition:

Very good antique condition with attractive age-related patina. Minor surface wear to the metal consistent with age. Please be sure to view all photos carefully as they form part of the item description.
