The ESP AlertCam Pro is a standalone, weaether-proof security system that combines an external passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor with an integrated CCTV camera and a heavy-duty light-switching controller. It is designed primarily to deter intruders by automatically triggering connected outdoor floodlights, recording footage locally, and alerting occupants wirelessly inside the property
Key Specifications & Features
- Motion Detection & Lighting Trigger: It features an adjustable 160° PIR sensor with a 10-metre detection range. Upon detecting motion, it can directly switch on up to 500W of local external lighting (such as halogen or LED floodlights)
- Camera & Local Recording: The built-in camera has a 60° viewing angle and includes an automatic white balance and exposure system. It records JPEG images at a rate of 2 frames per second for 20 seconds per trigger, which are converted to a video stream via the included bespoke software
- Storage Capacity: It saves footage locally to an SD or SDHC card (up to 32GB or 64GB depending on the sub-model). A 2GB card comes supplied, which can hold roughly 1,000 file triggers (40,000 images)
- Wireless RF Integration: The "Pro Kit" package relies on Radio Frequency (RF) triggers. When an intruder is detected, it transmits a wire-free signal up to 50-65 metres to activate an indoor chime/alarm unit or a secondary 1500W remote switching device
- Physical Setup: The unit is hardwired for power, laser-aimed for easy camera positioning, and holds an IP55 weatherproof rating for permanent outdoor use
