Space travel for Earth passengers in the 1980-1990!
A rocket-powered hypersonic transport separates from the supersonic booster, which carried it up to 120,000 feet. The transport accelerates to 15,000 miles per hour and, with its power off, glides to a conventional airport on another continent. Travel time for a 6,000-mile-plus flight is one hour.
