Very good condition for an over 70 year old toy that was played with by multiple generations. Original owner
Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. They produced incredible stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this adorable Dally Mimic puppet. This toy was finely handcrafted in Germany between 1958-59 only. This short production time makes Mimic Dally one of the rarest post-war Steiff puppets! It has an endearing look with glass eyes and lots of black airbrushing dots, as expected from any Dalmatian Dog. The mouth can be moved and its original tongue is in excellent condition. The nose and toes are embroidered with no sign of wear. This puppet retains the trademark button in the ear and it’s original bow ( a bit faded and worn) but is well loved and shows age wear with a few very small mohair bald spots Dally's head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. Don't miss the chance to welcome this very charming and rare vintage puppet to your collection today! 17” inches from the top of the embroidered nose to the tip of the tail.
