Joseph Cheshire Cotten (1905–1994) was an American actor of stage and film who achieved prominence on Broadway before becoming a Hollywood star. He is closely associated with Orson Welles, appearing in Citizen Kane (1941), The Magnificent Ambersons (1942), and The Third Man (1949). Cotten starred in numerous acclaimed films including Shadow of a Doubt (1943), Gaslight (1944), Niagara (1953), and many others throughout his distinguished career.
This autograph comes from the Harvey and Rhoda Kuflik Collection — one of the world's greatest privately assembled celebrity memorabilia collections, as featured in a dedicated episode of the popular Fox Business Network show Strange Inheritance (Season 3, Episode 10: "Autograph Addicts").
