Hand built model ship ,possibly representing a historic’Clipper’ ship such as Thermopylae or Cutty Sark. It was in a glass bottle but when the bottle got broken the owner made a brass and glass case. The model was built by a Falmouth ship builder and presented to a serviceman stationed at RNAS Culdrose 1959 Solid wood base painted blue section to represent the sea. Intricate rigging made from string,small wooden components. Base board W 36.5 cms. H 2 cms. D 15.5 cms. Brass and glass cover. W 31.5 cms. D 12 cms. H 16 cms.
