Here is a used drive shaft from a Wheel Horse D Series 48" Snow Thrower

U-Joints are in great condition

The gear box shaft had to be cut off and is still in the one end

Lock screw is broken

The shaft is pitted but still slides nicely into the mating piece and is not sloppy
