Actress Jeanne Crain models one of the first Christian Dior gowns with a hemline 18 inches from the floor. She showed off the latest Paris fashion in New York before leaving for South Africa, the location for her new film, Duel in the Jungle.
The gown is made of pale blue taffeta, with a halter neckline and full skirt with a side bouffant peplum.
Jeanne Elizabeth Crain was an American actress. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for the title role in Pinky.
