On offer is a lot of eleven vintage brass buttons that measure about 2cm (¾") in diameter. They all have a fern leaf design on the front in raised relief. I'm not sure how old these buttons are, but feel they could possibly be Victorian. That's just guesswork on my part though as I really don't know anything about vintage buttons. Please take a good look at the pictures as they form part of the item description.

The buttons look well made, and the detailing on them is lovely. I don't know if these were for civilian clothing, or for a uniform of some kind. They all have a flat back with a fixed metal loop for attaching to a garment. Some of the buttons have a metal fixing clip on them too. There is no makers name on these that I can see.

There are minor signs of wear and tear commensurate with age and use, but nothing that really detracts in any way. There is a little verdigris on some as the pictures show.

Despite any minor cosmetic faults these are lovely buttons that would make a good addition to any collection.
