On offer is a vintage SPERLING prism view-finder or waist-level finder for a camera (as described by Google). This was made in Germany as marked on the back of the item. It comes complete with a brown leather case. This came to me in a box of bric-a-brac that I bought at a local auction. I know nothing at all about this type of thing, but thought it might be useful to someone. Please take a good look at the pictures as they form part of the item description.

The view finder is used, and does have some signs of wear as the pictures show. It doesn't appear to be damaged, the glass isn't chipped or cracked, but it does look a bit grubby and maybe lightly rubbed. I haven't attempted to clean this, and I have no idea how this would work. It has not been tested as I don't have any equipment to do so.

The leather case has stitched seams, and closes with a press stud. The case and stitching is in good condition, and the press stud still works well. Printed on the inside of the case lid is VEB Sattler, und Lederwarenfabrik, Dresden- West 1957 (or maybe 1967). Made In Germany, DDR, Reg No 00482.

Hopefully this lovely vintage piece will be of use to someone.
