Door Latch Jig on Door

Door Hinge Jig, Not for door jamb

• Always keep the router base flat against the jig surface.

  Use both hands to hold the router and press down evenly so the base stays flat on the jig.

  It is recommended to make a trial cut on a piece of offcut from the same material before starting

• Always move the router clockwise along the template guide and push at a steady speed.

  This gives you consistent resistance to keep the tool under control, prevents chatter and wandering,

  and ensures the bit stays safely inside the jig withouttouching its walls.

• Chisel off the 1/4"R corners if the corner is square.

  A router bit can only produce rounded internal corners.

• When securing the door lock jig, if a knob feels too tight or difficult to turn, loosen the opposite knob slightly.

  This will help align the Backing Plates horizontally before re-tightening both sides evenly.

• Always drill the large hole first on a vertically installed door.

  For proper chip clearance (new feature), the guide template must be used on a vertically installed door. Horizontal use will cause clogging.
