This is an original Yale surface-mount cabinet or drawer lock, complete with its matching stamped key. The lock body is constructed of solid brass and features a standard cylinder mechanism with four mounting holes for installation. Both the lock face and the key blade are stamped with the matching identification code 7XBK165. The key bow is additionally marked with the classic Yale trefoil logo and "YALE MADE."

The hardware is in Very Good/Original condition, retaining a heavy, unpolished natural patina across the brass surfaces. There is visible surface tarnish and minor verdigris consistent with historical use and age. The accompanying steel key exhibits dark oxidation and standard wear on the cuts, but remains fully functional with the lock cylinder. This piece is well-suited for authentic antique furniture restoration or as a direct replacement part.

The lock measures 1 15/16" x 1 5/8". Holes are 1 5/8" and 15/16" on center. Total height is about 1". Cylinder from base to top is 5/8", 1/" not including top ring. Cylinder is a hair less than 5/8" in diameter. Note that the key hole turns without the key. The lock only engages with the key though. It also feels like the key sticks just a hair when turned. It needs oiled.
