This is the Hip Audio Version 2 upgraded cable clamp for the Tentacle Sync E. It is more robust and reliable than the original cable clamp that came with the Tentacle Sync E timecode box. The original clamp is built like a wishbone and is vulnerable to flexing and snapping. This design is a single solid block that does not flex or snap.
It works best with cables made by using the silver Neutrik 3.5mm right angle connector shown (which is the same connector Tentacle Sync currently uses in the manufacturing of the cables they sell, and other manufacturers use this connector too). It does not work as well with other connectors with shorter barrels as shown in the last demonstration in the video.
