📷 Rare Custom Modified Jupiter-8M 50mm f/2 – Classic Zeiss Sonnar Rendering for Micro 4/3 Cameras

Up for sale is a unique custom-modified version of the legendary Soviet Jupiter-8M 50mm f/2 lens, manufactured by the Arsenal factory (USSR).

Originally designed for Contax/Kiev rangefinder cameras, this lens has been fitted with an M39 threaded conversion ring and comes complete with an L39–Micro 4/3 adapter, allowing immediate use on MFT cameras.

The Jupiter-8 is based on the famous Carl Zeiss Sonnar optical design, renowned for its smooth bokeh, excellent sharpness, and classic vintage rendering.

 Technical Note:

This is a custom modification.

The original Jupiter-8M does not contain its own focusing helicoid. Focusing is achieved by partially unscrewing the lens within the M39 thread of the included adapter, allowing adjustment of the focus distance.

Because of this custom design:

• Manual focus only

• Infinity focus may not be achievable

This setup is intended primarily for photographers and filmmakers seeking the distinctive vintage Sonnar look rather than conventional everyday use.
