This is a pre-owned vintage item being sold as is in good used condition with signs of where commensurate with age and handling. Please read full description and see photos to confirm details and approximate dimensions.

This weather station stands on a brass base measuring approximately 4 inches in diameter. The total height when assembled it's up to approximately 8 in.

Features a barometer, hyggrometer to show relative humidity, and a thermometer for temperature. 

It's been disassembled down to component level for a cleaning and dusting.  Look closely at the detail photos and compare to others on the market. 

While the brass has been polished, up close you will see signs of oxidization, scuffing, and scratches. There is one crack shown in detail. There is fogging around points where the lucite has been drilled and implements attached. There is general smudging on the surface of the lucite / acrylic. And the covering on the barometer is starting to show crackling with its age.

The entire barometer can spin on its anchor point inside of the satellite, and a fixed needle can be used to track changes and whether by rotating the barometer.

There is a screw on the base of the barometer to adjust the readings.

And if you're paying close attention, yes it is 95% humidity and close to 90° in my studio right now. A delightful day in my part of the world and the barometer is reading an accurate reflection of the 29.6 inHg (the scale measures approximately 27.5 to 30.5)

The entire unit can remove from the base to change display as you desire. The base has a hanger so it can be attached to a wall or placed upright on a desk.

Stamped "B.G.M. 1765868"  on the brass adjustment assembly. In West German manufacturing, B.G.M. (Bundes-Gebrauchsmuster) designates a federally registered design paten, with 1765868  being the official utility model patent number granted for this iconic Space Age rotating-sphere design in the late 1950s. This mark guarantees the piece is an original, period-correct West German instrument (produced by precision makers such as Huger or TFA Dostmann) and not a modern reproduction.
