Published model information identifies the Philips GM 5650/02 as a valve/tube oscilloscope introduced around 1956. The published reference lists ten internal tubes, a metal cabinet and approximate dimensions of 115 × 235 × 315 mm. These are external model-reference specifications and the performance of this particular unit has not been verified.
Testing and condition:
The unit powers on and the internal valves/tubes light up. However, nothing appears on the CRT screen. No trace, image or other display output was observed.
No further functional testing has been performed. The cause of the missing display is unknown. CRT operation, sweep, triggering, vertical amplification, signal inputs, controls and measurement accuracy remain unverified.
Due to the missing display and the age of the internal valve electronics, the unit is being sold for parts or repair. Inspection and servicing by a qualified technician will be required.
The equipment has cosmetic wear consistent with its age, including scratches, marks, dirt, surface wear and deterioration of the carrying handle.
