What is an Australian Edition Variant?
Unlike the Marvel APV's the Image Variants are books that were actually printed in Australia by Story House Egmont Publishing under the Image Imprint and were released on Newsstands in Australia in 1995. Sometimes there is added content to the book or sometimes the book exact copy of the US release apart from the cover price & barcode.
Egmont Books were very low print run books (low thousands) - available only direct to Australian and New Zealand retailers. All unsold copies were destroyed/pulped as per the normal procedure of the day. So not only are these books rare, but it's virtually impossible to find high grade copies as very few comic book shops sold them directly to collectors.
