The 1946 Boston Red Sox season remains one of the most celebrated years in franchise history. This campaign marked a major turning point as iconic stars like Dom DiMaggio, Bobby Doerr, and Ted Williams returned to Fenway Park after serving in the military during World War II.
The team dominated the American League, finishing the season with an incredible 104–50 record and securing their first AL Pennant since 1918 before narrowly losing a thrilling seven-game World Series matchup to the St. Louis Cardinals.
