Working with mains unit. Battery not holding charge and has been removed to prevent corrosion of casing. The original NiCad batterries are no longer available but could be replaced by a pack of 9 aa size rechargeable NiMh cells. Tests have shown that this would work but with recycling times at full power reduced to 25 seconds. a set of 9 solder tagged aa cells and a few minutes with a soldering iron is all that is needed to return this unit to battery operation. the inside of the battery casing has new wires fitted ready to connect the new battery.The unit as is works fine when plugged into the mains and would therefore be ideal for a home studio setup The output cable has been hard wired as the plug was giving connecion problems. and the casing has been sprayed matt black (see photos for complete view of parts included. )Some marks on case, Colour temperature warming filter fitted on flash head. Output power may not be as stated due to age, but this is still a powerful light.
