This is a lot of Five French banknotes from the early 1940’s that are fairly careworn, but still beautiful. They were handed down over the years through our family. They are a piece of history and great for collectors. They would also make nice artistic backgrounds for scrapbooks or art.

The smaller 5 franc bill is a 5 Franc Allied Military Currency banknote issued for France in 1944.It was authorized by the Allied Military Command to replace German currency upon liberation during World War II. The lot also includes a similar 2 franc note from the same year
