A charming original Victorian edition of Chatterbox 1897, the popular children's annual filled with stories, poems and beautifully illustrated colour and black & white plates.
Featuring an attractive blue decorative hardback binding with gilt detailing, this classic late Victorian annual makes a wonderful addition to any collection of antique children's books or decorative bindings.

Condition:
Fair antique condition. Plenty of marks/signs of use throughout. The binding shows heavy wear with damage to the top of the spine and edge wear throughout. The front and rear hinges have split internally and some pages are partially detached from the cover. Foxing, age-related staining and discolouration are present throughout. There is a handwritten gift inscription dated 1897 to the front endpaper. Despite the faults, the pages remain largely complete and readable with numerous attractive illustrations.
