Original Unused WWII British Army Canvas Skeleton Battle Jerkin.
An original piece of British wartime assault equipment, associated with Commandos and assault troops during the Normandy / D-Day period.
Constructed from brown canvas with lighter webbing edging and straps, featuring front ammunition / equipment pockets, toggle closures, rear lacing and waist fastening straps.
The jerkin appears to be in unissued condition, with only light storage wear. There is one piece of cotton which has unravelled from one of the cords, as shown in the photographs.
Marked M.G.C.Co. and dated either 1943 or 1945 — the final digit is not completely clear although I would sway towards 1945. Also British government broad arrow marked.
An interesting and fairly scarce example of WWII British assault webbing, ideal for collectors of Commando, airborne, D-Day, Normandy, British Army, SOE, special forces or wartime equipment.
Please see all photographs for condition, as they form part of the description. Happy to answer any questions.
