This depiction of Hercules and Dionedes was originally commission of Vincenzo de’ Rossi by Cosimo I de’ Medici  in 1560, and has stood in the hall of the five hundred for the better part of five centuries.

This unsigned copy is a fairly faithful rendition that stands approximately 12.2" high on a black marble resin composite base measuring approximately 4.2x4.7"

A typical blend for stone composite statues is 95% Stone powder, alabaster or marble, and 5% resin which is well mixed and forced into a mold by injection or a centrifuge.  It has the look and feel of actual stone, but wears better, withstands a little more abuse, and cleans up much more easily.

This is a used vintage item with wear and patina commensurate with age being sold as in good used condition.   There is some slight but visible wear/dirt from age and use, and visible flaws from the manufacturing process (mold lines, bubbles (especially on the bottom of the base).
