You are looking at a SANSUI R-50 FM AM stereo Hi-Fi vintage Receiver.

 

Lovely Japanese manufactured FM / AM Hi-Fi receiver sold between 1979 and 1980.

 

Features FM / AM analogue radio, LED power level indicators, 2 colour LED tuning indicators, back lit display, manual tuning, mono stereo button, bass, treble, loudness, high filter, balance (twin stacked volume controls, 4 speaker output with speaker selection on the fascia, headphone socket, RIAA MM phono turntable input and two tape inputs and tape outputs.

 

220-240 voltage selection.

 

Speakers should be rated between 8 and 16 ohms.

 

Please note the two control knobs are not original to this unit but does look great. The selection control (far right) has been replaced with a brand-new unit and has a different feel compared to the other controls. Works perfectly.

 

Original speaker twist and lock posts replaced with 3-way speaker binding posts that accept bare wire, 4mm banana plugs and speaker spades. Excellent upgrade.
