Product Overview:
Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of British art pottery: a 1991 Moorcroft lidded powder jar in the classic Anemone pattern. This striking dresser box features vibrant, hand-painted tube-lined anemone blossoms in shades of pink, purple, and blue resting against an inky, rich cobalt blue glazed background.
This piece is completely hand-decorated, as evidenced by the matching "RN" artist markings present on both the underside of the lid and the bottom of the base. The underside is also cleanly stamped with the impressed "MOORCROFT" name, "MADE IN ENGLAND", and the official 1991 Bell symbol.
Condition Notes:
- Excellent Structural Condition: Absolutely no chips, cracks, or repairs on the bowl or the lid.
- Glaze Condition: The rich, dark cobalt blue exterior and floral glazes look magnificent, bright, and glossy.
- Crazing: There is some clean, typical age-crazing visible strictly on the white-glazed ceramic surfaces (on the underside/interior of the lid and the bottom base area). This is entirely normal and expected for authentic fired earthenware Moorcroft pieces of this vintage.
