German States Bavaria 1844 silver 3.5 Gulden/2 Thaler Temple of Heroes 1-yr type

Kingdom of Bavaria; Ludwig I era - this rare rare 1-year type was issued to commemorate the construction of the "Temple of Heroes" memorial in Munich. The "Temple of Heroes" was built as a shrine to the Bavarian soldiers fallen in Russia (KM 818; Thun 83; Dav. 591; AKS 106; Kahnt 110; J. 74). Tiny mintage of just a few hundred; this type is VERY hard-to-find these days. Large Crown-size coin: about 38 mm in diameter; weights 37.12 grams, an inscription on the rim. Nice original light-gray patina, about XF; scarce this nice.
