Stepfather Brands Star's Suicide Notes as False
No sooner had the Nassau County Grand Jury concluded that the beautiful Starr Faithful had drowned herself, on the evidence of her three suicide letters turned over to them by Dr. George Carr, than Stanley Faithful, her stepfather, denounced the letters as forgeries.
Dr. Carr, ship doctor of the ocean liner SS Franconia, came to this country solely to testify in connection with the Faithful case.
Above are pages one and three of the last letter written by Star to Dr. Carr, which Faithful declared were forgeries. The letter was dated June 4.
