1976 Mego Star Trek Phaser Battle Electronic Game - Lights & Sounds!

 

An incomplete but partially working Mego Star Trek Phaser Battle electronic game! When given batteries, it does make sounds (VERY loud sounds) and light up! However, the gameplay doesn't seem to work. That is partially due to the missing pieces (more on that in a second), but there seem to be some mechanical things that don't work either. The Defense Buttons seem to cause it to glitch. For example, sometimes all the lights go out when you hit the right defense button. When we disassembled it to clean and test it, there was a small black wire, a washer, and a single screw rattling around inside the game (see image 19). The screw matches other screws used on this toy, but we're not sure where it goes. Most likely, it's supposed to hold on the spinning piece at the top, which is entirely missing along with most other related pieces. It seems likely the lack of these pieces is why the game doesn't work. The parts that are present show mild wear but are overall very well preserved! You can definitely pick up the item in person. There is no shipping charge; however, we apply a $4.00 handling fee. Sales tax is added to all sales.
