Item Description

This is a vintage Beattie Jet Lighter No. 2 in the desirable black pigskin finish, presented complete with its original box, instruction papers, and “Probe For Jet” card, exactly as shown in the photographs.

The lighter remains in excellent New Old Stock (NOS) condition and shows clear signs of never having been used. The wick remains completely clean and unused, and there are no traces of soot or burning inside the lid or surrounding areas, further confirming its preserved condition.

I personally installed a flint and tested the mechanism to ensure proper functionality. The lighter produces a strong spark and the mechanism operates exactly as it should.

To preserve the unused condition and avoid reducing collector value, the lighter has not been filled with fuel or fully ignited, as burning the original wick would affect its untouched NOS character. However, if requested by the buyer, I can fuel and ignite the lighter before dispatch to demonstrate proper operation.

The lighter features the iconic Beattie jet design with chrome detailing and black pigskin wrap, a classic mid-century American design highly sought after by collectors today.

The original box and papers show expected signs of age and storage wear consistent with vintage items of this era.
