Artist/Workshop:  Inscribed and signed **不老洞** (*Furōdō* / "Cave of Eternal Youth"), a celebrated studio painter renowned for traditional Chinese-influenced Nanga (literati) style figure paintings.

Condition:             Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, hairline fractures.  The foot rim and delicate side handles are perfectly intact.

Side-A:                     Features  Jurōjin (the God of Longevity) with his characteristic elongated head and staff, framed by an elegant, traditional cloud-scroll border.

Side-B:                     Features  Gama Sennin (the Immortal Hermit Liu Hai) joyfully holding his mythical three-legged money toad, framed by a sharp, geometric key-fret (raimon) border.

Base & Accents:        The narrow neck is flanked by two stylized scroll handles, sitting atop a foot decorated with an interlocking endless knot symbol. The recessed base features a hand-painted underglaze blue signature reading **不老洞** (*Furōdō*).

The original unpainted wood storage box. The face of the lid features bold, confident calligraphy reading **扁壺** (*Henko* / Flat Flask), identifying the vessel shape. The left corner is hand-signed **不老洞造** (*Furōdō-zō* / Made by Furōdō) and bears the artist's official square red ink hanko stamp (seal), providing provenance and matching the vase perfectly.

A beautiful, top-tier display piece for collectors of Japanese ceramics, underglaze blue porcelain, or Asian folklore art.
