Rare Wedgwood Art Deco Covered Box with Dove Finial

A highly attractive and increasingly scarce Wedgwood Art Deco covered box dating to circa 1932, finished in a striking cobalt blue glaze and featuring a beautifully modelled dove finial to the lid.

The box is decorated with bold stylised geometric and floral motifs characteristic of the Art Deco period, with crisp moulded relief decoration wrapping around both the body and cover. The elegant dove finial provides a wonderful sculptural focal point and perfectly complements the streamlined design.

An excellent example of early 20th-century Wedgwood decorative pottery and a desirable piece for collectors of Art Deco ceramics.
