German Papier-Mâché Snuff Box – Stobwasser Manner – Circa 1860

An interesting mid-19th century German circular papier-mâché snuff box, made in the manner of Stobwasser. The lid is finely hand painted with a portrait of a gentleman, executed in the traditional style associated with this celebrated German workshop.
