Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica covered custard cup (pot de creme) with attached stand - hand-painted in Denmark.

Flora Danica is Royal Copenhagen's most prestigious service, created in 1790 and hand-painted to this day. Each piece shows a botanically accurate plant from the Flora Danica encyclopedia, with a pierced gold-and-pink border and rich hand-gilding.

This piece: a lidded custard cup with an integral triangular saucer/stand and a modeled floral-twig finial on the lid (with applied, hand-formed blossoms). Cup width approx. 7.5 cm; saucer width approx. 11 cm. Hand-painted botanical study with gilded pierced borders. Underside carries the Royal Copenhagen three-wave mark.

Condition: Pre-owned, generally good, with minor wear consistent with long storage. Please review all photos closely (they are of the exact item and form part of the description) and note the delicate applied florals. No original box.
