BMW Z4 - 3.0, 230hp Track Car. Mot due May 2027. Just over 86,000 miles.
Comes with the private plate worth £400.
Ideal base for someone to take fully off road as a dedicated track car or keep road legal to drive to and from track! Not recommended for just road use.
Purchased car in October 2022 to use as a track car.
Since having the car we have made the following changes and upgrades:
2022
Koni adjustable shocks and springs kit with new top mounts front and rear - lowered the car around 30mm all round, which looks great given the car is already low.
Cobra competition seats - one fitted, one spare.

New track rod ends
Changed gearbox oil
Changed rear diff oil
New SKF bottom arms
New SKF driveshafts (comes with a free pair too)

New clutch and flywheel
New radiator / coolant

5.1 brake fluid

Yellow stuff pads all round
New calipers front and rear.
Brake discs - new at front, rears excellent condition.
The exhaust - we did not replace but looks very new.

Roll cage fitted by Custom Cages at their manufacturing site in Daventry in 2024 which cost £1,600.00
New 18 inch alloy wheels and tyres (cost £1600 alone) - since then has new Yokohama A052s costing £900 (225x40x18 fronts, 255x35x18 rears). Fitted in 2025. Had about 1,000 miles of wear. About 150 of those on track.
Sabelt harness for drivers side. Passenger still has standard seatbelt but seat removed. Can supply upon sale for no extra cost.
Comes with an updated oil pump worth £350 which we were going to fit but never got around to doing.
Air con is icy cold - regassed it 2024.
Electric sunroof mechanism/motor totally removed as it was faulty, so it goes up and down manually and clip attached on A-pillars as you can see on photos. Fit is not as good as with original as there is no clamping of roof at top of windscreen but does reasonable job. Above 60mph with roof up there is a fair bit of wind noise, a lot more than standard. Roof always down on track so only used up on very rare occasions when it was on road and wet. Takes 10 seconds to take down / put up.
The car has had an easy life by the look of it underneath - probably someone’s 3rd car for many years.
Bad Points:
A scrape on front near side - I unfortunately did this when trying to park in a narrow garage.
We have had to cut into the door cards for the Cobra seats to fit - the finish is not ideal as you can see, but once the door is shut you will know no difference! A more skilful set of hands would make look tidier or you can continue the interior stripping like we have done and remove the door cards fully.
Under the bonnet it looks pretty much as new - these engines are bullet proof, and given the age is considered low mileage. This is great track car out of the box with all the major expensive stuff done - or a brilliant platform to further improve on, take off road and use exclusively as a track car or use for hillclimbs or whatever.

There is no roof motor, and no motor inside the fabric roof which attaches the front. Also all the internal roof insulation has gone. You would not be able to restore it to factory spec
