Formed on February 10, 2024, NEK! (pronounced: Neki) is a four-member girl band consisting of Vo/Gt. Hika, Gt. Natsu, Ba. Kanade, and Dr. Cocoro.
The four members, each primarily sharing their music on their own YouTube channels and social media, formed the group after being captivated by each other's performances.
As a girls' band that originated online, the band name comes from "neki," an internet slang term meaning "a reliable older sister figure."
Based on rock music, and characterized by their catchy lyrics originating from the internet, they are affectionately known as a "slang rock band."
