Yukihisa Suzuki (died Feb. 9, 2013, Honolulu) his Obituary states:

• Cataloger at the University of California, Berkeley
• Librarian at the University of Michigan
• Emeritus professor at the University of Hawaiʻi
• President and professor at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, where he taught library sciences
• Noted as a distinguished foreign graduate of the University of Michigan’s Graduate School of Library Science
• The obituary also notes he survived WWII as a kamikaze torpedo bomber pilot
