The issue features five standalone stories starring various velocity-based heroes, including Wally West, Jay Garrick, Max Mercury, and Jesse Quick, while notably marking the first appearance of the villain Cobalt Blue.
Relative Heroes follows the newly orphaned Weinberg children and their babysitter as they pile into a Winnebago and embark on a cross-country road trip to Metropolis to ask Superman for help. Along the way, the superpowered siblings try to evade Social Services, the Department of Extranormal Operations, and a vengeful Greek god while discovering their own abilities
