This is a Spencer MINIBALL pulled out of its brass case or case rotted from it and seperated. It was dug in Tuscaloosa by Mr. Tom McVay ( of Tuscaloosa) many years ago. I did not personally dig this bullet, but acquired it from him in a trade of relics. I have no reason to doubt that Tom didn’t dig it there, he lived there and hunted relics all around the city and surrounding areas.

He said he thought it was dropped by a Union Cavalryman who was sent by US General Wilson to burn down the University of Alabama, which they did. Only lightly opposed by the Alabama Cadet Corps “ ACC “.
