Authentic Vintage 1955 Capps Clothes Men’s Brown Wool Suit

An authentic mid-century American two-piece wool suit by Capps Clothes, one of America’s oldest menswear manufacturers (established in 1839). This suit retains an interior tailor’s marking dated 1955, making it an excellent documented example of 1950s menswear.

Crafted from brown wool with a subtle textured weave, the suit features a classic mid-century silhouette with a two-button jacket, flap pockets, pleated trousers, and cuffed hems. A wonderful piece for collectors, period costume, vintage fashion, or film and theater wardrobes.

Condition

Good vintage condition overall. There is one small hole on the front of the trousers near the fly (pictured). Otherwise, the suit presents well with normal wear expected of a 70-year-old garment. Please review all photos carefully.
