The DSG21 is supplied with 10 commonly used gate and barrier warning messages already installed, ready for the preferred message to be selected without first programming the audio.
The message, volume, LED colour and flash pattern can be selected using the included wireless configuration controller.
When activated, the DSG21 provides the selected voice message and LED warning. The message repeats continuously for as long as power remains applied.

The wireless configuration controller is included with the DSG21 and provides convenient control of:
- Select a preloaded message
- Adjust the voice volume
- Choose the LED colour
- Select the flash pattern
- Test, play, pause or stop the message
As the fitted lens affects the final sound level, the controller allows the installer to adjust and assess the volume from a practical listening position with the lens in place. This gives a more representative indication of the finished sound level and avoids repeatedly removing and refitting the lens.
If the controller is unavailable, the main operating settings can also be adjusted using the onboard buttons beneath the lens.
The DSG21 uses a single opaque white lens, with the displayed LED colour selected electronically to suit its intended use. The colour can also be changed later if requirements change.
The same DSG21 can therefore support automated gate and barrier warnings as well as related security, access-control and status applications, without changing the lens or stocking separate coloured versions.
The LED colour and operating mode can be selected using the wireless configuration controller or onboard buttons.
The factory-fitted two-conductor cable can be connected to a suitable switched 12-36V DC output from the existing gate or barrier controller, allowing the voice message and LED warning to operate while the gate or barrier is moving.
