This Vintage 1937 Douglas Air Cooled Estate Briar Smoking Pipe is a collectible tobacco pipe made by the renowned brand Douglas in the United Kingdom. This particular pipe features a unique air-cooled design and is pending a patent (awarded ~1937), adding to its appeal to collectors of estate pipes. With its classic and timeless aesthetic, this pipe would make a great addition to any smoking enthusiast's collection. I would call this a poker sitter shape with an air cooling chamber inside the briar bowl. It is a reverse calabash design that was created way ahead of its time. The stem is in great shape with minimal teething. Difficult to find information on this rare pipe. Note: the advertising pictured is not included in the sale.
