*** The Arsenal v Leeds United match on Thursday May 5, 1966, holds the record for the lowest competitive attendance in Highbury history. Only 4,554 spectators attended the First Division fixture.
There was an excuse in that there was the 1966 European Cup Winners Cup Final match from Hampden Park - Liverpool v Borussia Dortmund - on TV on the same night !! ***
