The Quantum / Pride Mobility Lighting Module and Wiring Harness Kit (Part Number: MEC154280) is a core electrical hardware assembly engineered to manage, distribute power to, and control the integrated LED fender lights on Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0, 3.0, and HD power wheelchairs.
It serves as the critical intersection piece that bridges the wheelchair’s main computer controller to the physical LED light strips.

Components & Technical Specifications

  • The Controller Module (MEC2004535): The center of the assembly is a specialized solid-state fender light controller. It safely converts standard 24V wheelchair battery power down to the lower voltage required by multi-directional high-efficiency LEDs. 
  • The Main PTO Wiring Harness: Features a specialized Power Take-Off (PTO) cable configuration. This plugs directly into the primary bus/power module situated on the wheelchair base. 
  • Weatherproof Connectors: Standardized with plug-and-play SureSeal style or matching multi-pin connectors to seamlessly connect the Left (DGN153020) and Right (DGN152223) LED light-fender shells. 

Key Functions

  • Power Regulation: Isolates the delicate LED arrays from sudden voltage spikes produced by the heavy-duty 4-pole drivetrain motors. 
  • Signal Relay Routing: Dictates path illumination by routing power simultaneously to the white forward-facing brights and red rear-facing tail marker lights.
  • Neat Cable Routing: Insulated heavily against moisture, dirt, and abrasion, the harness is designed to precisely weave through the frame without tangling or pinching during power seating movements (such as using iLevel seat elevate, power tilt, or recline). 

System Integration & Joystick Compatibility

Depending on how the chair is controlled, this harness interacts with the user interface through specific auxiliary adapter cords: 
  • Q-Logic 2 & NE+ Systems: Requires adapter cord ELE1903903 to route command signals from the joystick keypad to the module.
  • Standard NE Joysticks: Utilizes adapter cord ELE1907905 to map the light-switch toggles.
  • Q-Logic 3 Systems: Typically communicates directly through the expandable bus system via a standard PTO terminal slot or a basic splitter (ELE1901564) if the main port is already occupied by seating electronics.
