Made in Northampton, England, Picquot Ware is crafted from a unique, solid cast magnesium-aluminum alloy called "Magnailium." It is polished to a highly reflective, mirror-like finish and beautifully accented with genuine carved sycamore wood handles and matching lid knobs. This complete set comes beautifully arranged on its original, matching modernist serving tray featuring a distinctive cross-hatch patterned formica center and curved sycamore wood handles.

This is an authentic vintage set showing typical, genuine age-related wear from domestic use over the decades:
Metalwork: The exterior surfaces show a faint, beautiful patina of fine age-related surface scratches and cleaning swirl marks. There are some typical dark tea/tannin stains to the interior bases of the pots from use which can be minimized with a deep soak.
Woodwork: The sycamore handles are structurally sound and firmly attached, showing a lovely naturally aged tone with minor finish wear from being held.
Serving Tray: The formica is clean. The aluminum rim shows a small spot of historical pitting/surface scuffing
This substantial set is heavy and will be packaged with professional care.
