Original Queen promotional publicity photograph showing the band's distinctive 'Queen' liveried helicopter flying above a vast outdoor concert crowd during the Magic Tour era. The image was taken by celebrated music photographer Denis O'Regan, one of Queen's official tour photographers and one of the most respected photographers in rock music.
The helicopter, registered G-OHTL, carries the Queen livery together with 'A Kind of Magic Tour' branding and was used as part of the group's promotional campaign surrounding their legendary 1986 tour. Beneath it can be seen an immense festival audience, perfectly capturing the extraordinary scale and popularity of Queen at the height of their international success.
Produced by Queen Productions and issued jointly with Parlophone and EMI, this is an original period promotional photograph rather than a modern reproduction. It is printed on Kodak photographic paper, with a blank reverse bearing only a handwritten "Jan '87" filing notation from its time in the Shields Gazette photographic archive, providing excellent provenance as a genuine newspaper archive photograph.
